1. Information We Do NOT Collect

Novira does not collect any personal or health information from you. All data you enter into the app is stored exclusively on your device using local encrypted storage. This includes:

• Period and cycle tracking data
• Symptoms, moods, and flow entries
• Basal body temperature readings
• Pill tracking and medication logs
• Intimacy records and daily notes
• Doctor visit records and follow-ups
• Your name and date of birth

This data never leaves your phone. We have no servers that store user data, and we have no ability to access your information.

2. No Accounts Required

Novira does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide an email address. There is no cloud sync, no server-side storage, and no user authentication system. You can use the app fully and completely without sharing any identifying information with us.

3. Third-Party Services

Novira uses the following third-party services to support app functionality. Each operates under its own privacy policy:

• Google AdMob — Displays advertisements within the app. AdMob may collect device identifiers and ad interaction data for ad personalization. You can opt out of personalized ads in your device’s privacy settings. Google Privacy Policy
• Firebase Crashlytics — Collects anonymous crash reports to help us improve app stability. Reports may include device model, operating system version, and technical stack traces. No personal or health data is ever included in crash reports. Firebase Privacy Policy
• Firebase Analytics — Collects anonymous usage statistics such as screen views and session duration to help us understand how the app is used. No personal or health data is included.
• Google Play Billing — Processes subscription purchases securely. All payment information is handled entirely by Google Play and is never accessible to us.
• Google Gemini AI (optional, off by default) — If you choose to enable this feature, anonymized cycle phase information may be sent to Google’s Generative AI service to generate personalized health insights. No personally identifiable information is ever transmitted. This feature requires your explicit opt-in from the Settings screen.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is protected using industry-standard security measures, all operating locally on your device:

• Room Database — Structured, local-only storage for all your health and tracking data
• AES-256 Encrypted Storage — Sensitive configuration data is protected using EncryptedSharedPreferences with AES-256-GCM encryption
• Biometric and PIN Lock — Optional app-level security to prevent unauthorized access to your data

If you uninstall the app, all locally stored data is permanently and irreversibly deleted from your device.

5. Children’s Privacy

Novira is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. The app is designed for individuals who menstruate and is intended for use by teenagers and adults. If you believe a child under 13 is using this app, please contact us.

6. Data Deletion

You are in full control of your data at all times. You can delete all your data through two methods:

• Within the app: Go to Settings → Delete All Data to permanently erase all tracked information
• Uninstalling the app from your device will automatically delete all associated data

Since we do not store any data on our servers, there is no additional data to request deletion of.

7. Your Rights

Because all data resides exclusively on your device and we have zero access to it, you maintain complete ownership and control over your information at all times. Within the app, you can:

• View all your tracked data
• Modify or correct any entries
• Export your data as a JSON file
• Delete all data permanently

8. Advertising

Novira displays advertisements through Google AdMob to support free access during the trial period. Premium subscribers enjoy an ad-free experience. We do not use your health data for ad targeting. Any ad personalization is handled by Google based on your device-level ad settings, not on data from Novira.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the app or applicable regulations. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Your continued use of Novira after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
